Drop-forged hang gliding and paragliding carabiner with conventional automatic closure, specially designed for the oscillating loads occurring in flight. In the fatigue tests, the Snaplock withstood 5,000,000 load cycles with 115 daN and an additional 2,000 load cycles with 240 daN - even with the gate open.
Thanks to its prominent nose, the Snaplock can be attached to the harness in such a way that the carabiner is reliably prevented from turning sideways. For harness manufacturers, there is also the option of attaching back straps over the nose, which can noticeably improve back support.
The Snaplock's one-twist closure is easy to use because the sleeve does not need to be pushed down to open. The carabiner locks automatically after the sleeve is released. Since the snap hook is fully covered by the sleeve, the risers cannot get caught during hooking and unhooking.
